The inclusion criterion for the registry is clinician-judged severe asthma. Around 400 variables are recorded at entry and entered on-line into the Castor Electronic Data Capture system.
Centers that enter data online into the system sign data sharing agreements with SHARP Central and follow a detailed protocol that is approved by their respective Ethical Committees.
Individual patients’ data such as age, sex, asthma control, lung function, selected laboratory values and medical treatment are registered at index date and thereafter every year.
